The purpose of the present study was to examine the validity and the reliability of Korean version of the Event Related Rumination Inventory(Cann, Calhoun, Tedeschi, Triplett, Vishnevsky, Lindstrom, 2011; ERRI). The ERRI is a self-report questionnaire measuring two discrete rumination styles: intrusive rumination, deliberate rumination. 226(initial study) and 442(main study) undergraduates in Korea participated in the survey. Both factors in the 2 factor structure showed adequate internal consistency, item-total correlations, and test-retest reliability over 4 weeks period. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the 2 factor structure of the K-ERRI. The K-ERRI factors were also adequately related to CERQ, K-RRS, PDS, and BDI-¥±, providing good discriminant and concurrent validities. In conclusion, the K-ERRI was found to be a valid measure of two discrete rumination styles in Korean population. Results were also discussed in relation to the potential utility of the scale.
